What do I do now?

In my last blog, I looked at how we manage to derail our own thoughts and lives on a constant basis. I have also looked at how we have become addicted to being distracted.  If you receive my email you would have read about how we allow ourselves to get distracted from the things we need to do, especially by gadgets.  We may log on to the computer to find a specific thing and then get distracted by funny videos or gossip, the next thing we know is that we have wasted hours of our day and not got a thing done.  It is not your fault. We have been raised in an environment where these are normal things to do.  We are surrounded by information, iPods, tablets, phones, computers and entertainment. People devoting all their attention to things and not other people. We are curious creatures and want to know what they are doing or reading or finding so interesting/funny/sad.  You can’t help it.

So how can we avoid it and do the things that need to be done?

Hi, I was born in England and trained as a teacher, tried sales, and management then returned to my first love of teaching. In the evenings I am a self employed karaoke DJ. I love to teach and coach others to improve their lives and be their best.
